Soda blasting is similar
to sand blasting, but it is safer, less messy, and can be used
in a much larger number of applications. The material that
the blaster dispenses is essentially the same baking soda you
put in a cake or use to deodorize your refrigerator or laundry,
with a special "flow agent' added to help it avoid clumping;
it's even made by Arm & Hammer!
Soda blasting can be used
to clean or strip almost any material. The most common uses
are to the left, but just because you don't see it there doesn't
mean we can't do it. Let us know what your concern is, and
we can figure out if we think it's doable.
Soda blasting was first
used to restore the Statue of Liberty and in a major automotive
paint recall in the 1980's. |
