What is the IICRC?
The IICRC is a nonprofit certifying body for the inspection,
cleaning and restoration industry. Organized in 1972, the
IICRC currently represents over 3,320 certified firms and
35,000 certified technicians in over thirty-three countries.
The IICRC, with participation from the entire industry, sets
standards for inspection, cleaning and restoration.
Why was the IICRC formed?
The IICRC was formed in 1972 to serve as an independent,
non-profit certification body, to set and promote high standards
and ethics; and to advance communication and technical proficiency
within the inspection, cleaning and restoration service industry.
How does certification benefit consumers?
Consumers know that when they hire IICRC certified technicians
or firms, they have hired experts who will ensure that work
